Editorial Standards and Disclosures

Last updated: September 2026

Unaudited is an independent publication of analysis and commentary on Australian companies, markets, governance and telecommunications, written from the public record. This page sets out the standards it works to, what it discloses, and how to raise a correction or complaint.

1. Accuracy

  • Analysis is written from primary documents: ASX announcements, annual and half-year reports, ASIC filings, and court and tribunal records. Where an article relies on anything other than a public document, it says so.
  • Unaudited is committed to the factual accuracy of its work and to admitting its mistakes publicly. Errors of fact are corrected promptly and conspicuously.

2. Independence

  • Unaudited is independently owned and operated. It has no advertisers, sponsors or paid placements, and it has no related products or services to promote.
  • No one can pay to be covered, to influence coverage, or to be left out of it.

3. Conflicts of interest and disclosure

  • Financial interests. The author may from time to time hold positions in securities discussed on this site. Where the author holds a position in, or has any other financial interest in, a company an article covers, it is disclosed at the top of that article.
  • Other interests. Any other interest that a reasonable reader would want to know about is also disclosed at the top of the relevant article. That includes current or past employment, commercial relationships, legal disputes, and personal connections with a company or individual covered.
  • If an article carries no disclosure, there is no position and no known conflict.
  • The aim is to give readers everything they need to judge the analysis, and the motives behind it, for themselves.

4. Fair dealing

  • Unaudited does not use deceptive or unfair means to obtain information.
  • Confidential sources are protected as set out on the Tips page and in the Privacy Policy.

5. Not financial advice

Everything published here is general commentary and analysis. It does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. Unaudited is not a licensed financial adviser, and nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. Before acting on anything you read here, do your own work and, where appropriate, get advice from someone licensed to give it. See also clause 8 of the Terms.

6. Corrections

To request a correction, email hello@unaudited.com.au with the specific claim and, where possible, the document that contradicts it.

  • Every request is reviewed against the source material.
  • Once an error is established, the article is corrected.
  • If the correction is substantial, a dated correction note is added to the article explaining what changed and why.
  • Where a correction is legally sensitive, legal advice is obtained and followed.

7. Right of reply

Companies and individuals discussed on this site can respond at hello@unaudited.com.au. Responses received after publication will be considered, and material responses will be noted in the relevant article.

8. Complaints

To make a complaint about an article or about Unaudited's conduct, email hello@unaudited.com.au with the details.

  • The relevant details are gathered and the complaint is considered, including whether further action is warranted.
  • Where required, legal advice is obtained and followed.
  • You will receive a response within a reasonable time.
